Whether inspired by music, water, or friendships, I hope to share the connections that sustain us.

Growing up in Wisconsin, I formed a deep connection with the lakes, rivers, prairies, farms and woods of the region. Art was always a way to put these worlds and the ones in my head on paper. I owe so much to the family, friends, strangers and teachers who encouraged and taught me along the way.

Now, as an illustration undergrad at Rhode Island School of Design, I'm learning to tell stories with sequential arts, words, paints, and prints. I love telling stories of natural creatures and the close relationships we share with each other. Inspired by experiences building trails and learning from the earth, I've found so much joy. I'm interested in being a freelance illustrator working with murals, comics, musicians and science, while engaging with arts education, outdoor jobs and the grassroots pursuit of a livable and loving world.

While capitalism fueled climate change worsens, I'm motivated to share the beauty we are losing, and how our generation must come together to change the course of history. We've been made to believe the future is inevitable, but we are the future. Hopefully we can learn from the patterns of history and nature to find connection while our leaders divide us, spoil the earth and separate communities because they're afraid to do anything else.

Currently, I'm working on a comic that distills many of these ideas into a sequence of paintings, collages, prints and poems.
